I have been a cell phone user for years, but now I won't miss appointments because my desktop calendar syncs up with the Treo. Now when I drive I can read the directions from the phone instead of forgetting to bring the Mapquest printout from the office. Overall I say it is a great device – sometimes i have to reset it and sometimes the phone turns itself off mysteriously, but the calls go to voicemail anyway. It sure beats just a plain cell phone…Try it.
Pro : All your Computer info in your pocket
Con : Turns phone off by itself sometimes

Love the Palm Treo 700W. Finally Palm has gotten it right. All the shortcomings from the 600 cured with the 650. Everything that you would wish the 650 had now answered with the 700W. Take the time to tinker with it and you will be amazed at the different applications you can perform with the 700. Only as valuable as you make this unit. The more you learn to do on the Treo the better it seems to progressively get. Not sure what the limitations are with the 700, there are so many extras to get for this unit. Broadband card, extra memory, and gps are just a few of the options you can add to this unit.
Pro : Ease of use, great choice of programs, microsoft based
Con : keys are slightly small, resolution not as good as 650

The Palm 700w has a Windows operating system instead of a Palm system. Only having used Windows in the past, it was easy to 'intuitively' use the features of this phone. The Qwerty keys do seem to be a bit small, but they 'click' and are rounded and just take some getting used to. I LOVE the program "ExpensePlus" on this PDA/smartphone. It makes tracking mileage, expenses, gifts, reimbursements, etc. A BREEZE. The speakerphone is amazingly loud and it is easy to turn it on and off once you get used to clicking "menu" and then the S button. Likewise, delete is always "menu" and the D button. I do NOT like that when you close a program, it is not closed until you go to a separate page and click on "close program" or "close all programs." This seems ignorant to me. I have DROPPED my 700w onto a concrete driveway TWICE and despite the dings, it still works great. I am very satisfied with this purchase. Shop around. Prices vary greatly.
Pro : Win Mobile5–familiar OS; lots of USABLE features.
Con : Cannot get good animated weather; 'end' button does NOT end programs.

This is a great phone and it is really easy to use once you get used to it. It does help if you have a understanding about Palms and Pocket PCs. The Memory is typical for a PDA and the speed is normal for a PDA. The screen resolution is not the greatest and the reason is on programs that are older and designed for Pocket PC 2002 and 2003 does not work on this Palm because of the 240×240. But this is not on all programs. I hope to see a driver file that will fix this. But the newer programs don't have that problem. But overall it is a great phone and palm and for me it was a wise choice for me to make.
Pro : Built-In Keyboard and One hand use
Con : Screen Resolution

I have owned several different versions of the treo including the 600, 650, and finally the 700. The phone is intended to integrate several multi-media functions, but becomes confused when utilizing these functions throughout the course of the day. The phone experiences software meltdowns and mysterious power-downs without warning. Luckily, the power-downs always happen at the worst time possible. After two years of supporting the Treo, I urge you to shop other devices before making the purchase.
Pro : PDA FUNCTIONALITY
Con : INCONSISTANT PERFORMANCE

I loved this device and it's versatility. That's why I was deeply disappointed that it died with just under 13 months of use. FYI…warranty is 12 months! I had a technician take it apart and he indicated it had corrosion on the mother board. I never got it wet! He indicated he had seen this before on these. Palm wants $125 just to send it in and diagnose. I have not replaced it nor repared it. Still have a few months left on 2 year contract with Cingular. Looking for another solution…not likely to spend that kind of money for 13 months again
Pro : All in one great device
Con : Lasted only 13 months!!!

I tried the phone out for a week and returned it. I several days and many hours working out their bugs with data and tech support. Did not ring and continually sent calls to voice mail My major complaint is that is was unreliable for email. Plus it was hefty and is designed for a right handed person. Quite inconvienent for us lefties.
Pro : windows 5.0
Con : Did not sync every 15 mins. liked advertised. Continual problems with email.

The only problem I've had is the bluetooth device and rebooting windows. As I power off and on my bluetooth, the phone does not always set itself to use handsfree. I have to shut off the bluetooth on the phone and the earpeice in varying combinations to get it to work again. Also, about once a day I need to do a soft reset to get the phone to perform again.
Pro : Internet access
Con : Bluetooth
